Patrick was a life long swimmer, water polo player, swim instructor and lifeguard in Oxnard. He grew up with a love for the water, doing anything and everything to be in and around it.
Help us keep his legacy alive by donating to the Patrick Vega Swim Scholarship, and giving the gift of a swimming to our community.

Please join us Saturday, March 14th from 9:00AM to 2:00pm at the Oxnard High School Pool.
This year we will be swimming 29x100s (or 50s)in honor of Patrick’s 29th birthday. Water aerobics taught by Amy Vega will be from 10:30-11:30am. Refreshments and tie-dye merchandise will be available for donation!
We remain focused on supporting pre-existing aquatic organizations to ensure our community remains safe and active. Donations raised will support our communities for this upcoming summer and school year!

This scholarship was established in 2019 to honor the memory of Patrick Vega.
Patrick’s legacy of teaching others to swim is a legacy of life. The scholarship provides swim lessons for those who cannot afford to pay. It also provides opportunities for members of our aquatic community to grow through donations for aquatic equipment and lifeguard classes.
